I am here to shake up my status quo, discover who I am and forget again. I am here to shed old skin. Do something new, my comfort level a regretful prison. I am here to leave behind sameness, defy everyday redundancy seeing with fresh eyes what a new day could be like. Maybe I will take leaps like a frog or soar like the herons in open horizons. Maybe I will dive like the dolphins cascading azure waves traveling far beyond what feels safe to me. Maybe I will journey as far as the elephant seals, when migrating it’s extraordinary the miles they log. Bottom line—I am here to challenge who I think I am - Kassi Wilson Fire and Flourishing: Poems
